What is van insurance? 

Van insurance works in a very similar way to car insurance, and provides cover for van drivers across the UK. It is a legal requirement of driving a van on the road in this country as well. 

Van insurance can protect both the van and it’s contents, and will also cover any third party that the van driver does damage too through their own fault.

The price of your van insurance will vary based on how many claims you have made in the last five years, how many motoring convictions, and the severity of them you have had in the last five years, any medical conditions the driver has which may affect their ability to drive, the value of the van, and the number of miles the van will travel and the postcode the van is kept in at night. 

A driver who has no claims, or convictions and a clean bill of health will get the cheapest car insurance quote, and those who live in areas of little crime will find their van insurance is far cheaper than those who live in the middle of areas renowned for car and van crime. 

The price of insurance will increase based on the power of the van, and it’s top speed, and the value of contents you wish to insure inside it.
